FISHING UPDATE -9/11- 9/18 Destin/PCB to Gulf Shores Fishing Report

According to the Captains along the coast from Destin/PCB to Gulf Shores, the fishing has picked up with Snapper Season back in play. One captain says September has been amazing so far. From a weather perspective the upcoming week looks pretty good. Waves predicted to be 0-2 feet most of the week.
Inshore fishing reports last week were hot. Spanish Mackerel, Redfish and Speckled Trout were in abundance.

What is HOT !!!!! Red Snapper, Red Grouper, Scamp, Mahi Mahi, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel Black Drum and Grouper, Vermillion and Trigger Fish.
NOTE: White Marlin and Tuna have been hitting off of Orange Beach/ Gulf Shores and Destin as the fall temps brings them closer to shore.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR ALABAMA FISHERMEN: The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) announced Friday, Aug. 29 that red snapper season will be open daily until anglers hit this year’s quota of 664,552 pounds.
