Weather & Conditions

A stable early‑May pattern brings warm temps and light winds:

  • Wind: 5–12 knots most days, calmest in the mornings

  • Waves: 1–2 ft through the week — excellent for offshore runs

  • Water Temp: Upper‑70s and climbing toward 80°

  • Clarity: Clean green water pushing in along the beaches

Overall: One of the best weather windows we’ve had this spring.

What’s Biting (5/1–5/7)

Offshore

  • Mahi-Mahi: Numbers increasing daily as warm water pushes north

  • Blackfin Tuna: Early morning bite remains strong around rips

  • Wahoo: A few quality fish reported along deeper edges

Nearshore

  • Spanish Mackerel: Thick along the beaches — great for quick trips

  • Cobia: Still moving through Destin & PCB, scattered but catchable

  • Pompano: Strong surf bite continues

  • Jack Crevalle: Big schools cruising the beaches and passes
