FISHING UPDATE - 8/29 to 9/04 Destin/PCB to Gulf Shores Fishing Report

According to the Captains along the coast from Destin/PCB to Gulf Shores, the fishing has slowed some this past week. From a weather perspective the upcoming week could be challenging starting Saturday 8/30 thru Tuesday9/2 due some weather changes coming through. Waves predicted to be 2-5 feet most of the week. As always, a chance for pop up storms so be prepared but the forecast is mostly clear for the week.
One of the captains wanted me to remind my followers that the Snapper Season in Federal waters is still open for Captains with Federal Permits. It's a bit more of a ride but they have been pulling in some really good snapper.
Inshore fishing reports last week were hot. Spanish Mackerel, Redfish and Speckled Trout were in abundance.

What is HOT !!!!! Snapper, Red Grouper, Scamp, Mahi Mahi, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel Black Drum and Grouper, Vermillion and Trigger Fish.
NOTE: Tuna and Marlin have been hooking again.
